If I could tell you the name of this vine I gathered on the rivers edge, I would.

If I could tell you "who" he is I would....I really need to make better notes, If I could, well, ya know,,, remember....
Have a spectacular and memorable weekend.
Love that house too! I bet it has a beautiful garden behind it!
ReplyDeleteI like the whole post - it feels good. :)
I think we have something in common. I also love Victorian and Amercian Folk Art and I had a wholesale business for 15 years called Twigs. I read your profile.
ReplyDeleteOh, what a LOVELY blog you have! I have so enjoyed wandering around, reading your wonderful posts. I think we must have a lot in common! I love this little cottage house, too. I was fortunate to own a beautiful little cottage in Kentucky before getting married and moving to Tennessee. Now I have an old Victorian, a former "painted lady" who is now white but just so anxious to regain her former glory and "colorful" past (I can tell). We're working on her a little at a time.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to reading more of your posts. Thank you for visiting my blog and signing up to follow it.
Oh, and welcome to the South! :-)
Blessings,
Paula
Oh what a wonderful post - and oh so true... Beauty is lasting but memories fade...
ReplyDeleteU.
The vine looks like what we call"love in a Puff". The seeds are balack w/ white heart shaped marking on them. Break open a very dry one and see.
ReplyDeleteThis is my first reading of your blog-won't be my last!!
Love your little...'If I could'...post. And can just imagine walking through the threshold of a home like that...back in time to a quiet place. Sit on a bench under the blooming trees in the garden...do I really have to wake up?
ReplyDeleteHappy hunting, Candy
Belinda!!! Thank you so much for telling me the name of the vine. You made my morning! I looked it up and found out about it,,so kewl,, I am going to post about it and show more..all thanks to you. Do you have a blog or website I can tell everyone about?
ReplyDeleteLove this post! The house looks like a storybook cottage. I would live there too:)
ReplyDeleteI believe the painting is of that fine lyrical English romantic poet Percy Bysshe Shelley.
ReplyDeleteI could be wrong of course.
Hi, Marcie--
ReplyDelete'Happy to have met you (from following a link from Madai's new photos). :)
This house looks like one of my dream cottages too. I'll have search my email to find a link to a similar house--it's in New York state and I saved the info about it--that you'd probably be as enchanted by as I am. Watch your email, it should be heading to your inbox soon. :) This one too is a charmer--and so serene.
Best Wishes, :)
Val
