The Met, A Fashion Exibition 1890-1940's

Butterfly gown....gasp!

When you get to http://www.metmuseum.org/  The exibition is called American Women Fashioning a Nationas Identity. Also"their" zoom feature gets "really" close,
much better than this.

I have shown late 1800's today as their my favorite.

This wool sweater is from 1895! It works today!

I just thought I'd share a place to get lost this morning.

Great post. That sweater, like you said would work today, amazes me. Are we going back to the Victorian times? Hmmm. Diane

I missed all this?!! Where have I been!! Marcie, fabulous clothes! Gosh, I think most of them could work today! Totally agree about the sweater! It's a work of art. I won't even blather on about those shoes...oh my! More works of art! And your next post with the sweet autograph book...I see projects in your future!

Now why wasn't I here before catching up with you! Give me a minute to catch my breath! Have to stop and look more closely at this stuff! Hope you have a wonderful day....and a wonderful time working with the book...it's a treasure!

Warm hugs,
Diane
