This is what our Veterans fight for....

Thank you to all those who have, and are now serving in the armed forces.
The parents of this little angel can kiss her and put her to bed at night, knowing you are all on duty protecting our Great United States of America.

Sharon asked, "are you from New York?"
Kaitlyn said, " I'm  from America".
Out of the mouths of babes.

Ovaltine

In 1948.............

Gather Around My Dear Friends...

There is a problem,,,and we must unite and work together.
Our land is in  threat of great distruction.
We need your help to save it.
We have counted on leaders to take care of matters of the kingdom and it's freedoms.
We were not watching closely enough.
The greed and power has bewitched the leaders, and only "we" can bring them back to our laws and save us from the great darkness.

You may write to me for help in the task.

This Weeks Dover Design Sampler

This week, Dover is showcasing Japanese art. You can get on the mailing list for free images each week at
The sampler shows images from 12 different books.
I wonder how many hours are in this  peacock embroidery....
(click to enlarge and see detail)

I miss seeing hanging pots of Fuchsia's here in the south. It gets too hot here for them.
They even grow in flower beds in Oregon.
Southern Jasmine is a good trade off however.

Feel free to click and save these for your artwork.
I have never made anything with a Japanese style, theme, or look, but there is something soothing going on here.
I have watched demonstrations of Japanese painting ,,,on tv, or at the fair...its been so long, but I do remember it was intriguing, and fast, with wonderful brushes.
 Enjoy!

Victoria Bliss

Victoria Bliss arrived yesterday. This is my favorite page and article, by Susan J. Gordon. The article is titled "Giving Thanks"
Susan talks of six generations of her family coming to this great country.
On another page, Susan shows her Grandmother in her wedding dress,,,what a beauty!

The rest of the magazine is Christmas oriented, and quite wonderful.
I am just not quite ready for Christmas at this point.
That is the nice thing about favorite magazines...you can pick them up later and get inspiration all over again.
Blessings in your day!

Moving....things

The moving "down", should be easier than the moving "up", as long as you are at the top.
