Haverford House,,,Marcy with a "Y"

I am looking for the definative place to enjoy this Awesome 16" Ferris Wheel I won from Marcy at http://haverfordhouse.blogspot.com/
Thank you so much Marcy!!!!! I love the card,,,also, it really turns and swings.
Marcy with a "Y" is so talented, and has been refinishing furniture lately. Right up my alley,as of late.I guess "M's" think alike.
I hope you will visit her blog, and see what she just did!

I have been busy getting settled, and watching alot of home a garden shows on TV.  Now that spring is totally here, our attention has turned to the new yard, and we are having a vege garden for the first time in alot of years. Should be  interesting, wonder if I can remember how to can, wonder if it will be worth it. It does bring out the neighbors so we can get to know them, as many of them have gardens too. I am more of a flower container garden gal, but I am looking forward to putting in some Crepe Myrtles pretty soon, just to get started. They are my favorite southern plant, as they flower so long.

My southern gentleman brought this brass and ironrod bed end home yesterday, a friend gave it to him. Isn't he just is a keeper!

So,,,Marcy,,, how should I refinish it??? Or should I? Any ideas would be appriciated from anyone.

I hope you are all having a lovely Spring Sunday. God is Good.

gorgeous ferris wheel and sweet card you won from Marcy. you've been a very lucky girl!! I' sure by noy you'll have found the right place to enhance the feel beauty and for you to enjoy it.
I'm a little green with envy reading that you're thinking about your garden... wish i had one!
I've been looking for the house of my dreams for month now. I'm not looking for a huge garden but for one to host plenty of flowers and herbs but my dream seems further and further away as time goes on.
have a great week start.

That little ferris wheel is adorable! Are you going to spray paint your iron bed? Or leave it?

thanks for stopping by French Lique and visiting... I love your blog... and your bloggy prize! Gotta get those creative juices going to find the perfect place for it...

as for the bed... I'm all about painting creamy white... so that's what I'd do... and it goes with everything else... no matter what color combo you choose... my white of choice? Rustoleum Heirloom White... good luck!

Hi Marcie with a ie! I'm so happy you received the Ferris Wheel! Congrats again! I'm so loving that bed frame - I think an heirloom white would be perfect! Or...leave it the way it is and use it outside and make it into a Flower Bed! Take care, ~Marcy

Marcie, a wonderfull bed end, wish you fun using it ...and wonderfull with the garden too. Here I`m not much of a garden keeper myself, also because of my shop, -but my husbond deals with the vegetable garden, and then I try to do a little with the roses, and flower beds.

The bed is wonderful just the way it is. All the imperfections make it so special - just part of its story! Thanks for stopping by and commenting. M.

Oh that Dixie...white on everything...I like white but I also like it the way it is. So depending on how you plan to use it determines the finish.
And as far as your gentleman knowing you would love it so he carted it home, I say WHOOOOORAAAHHH!!!
(spell check is screaming at me about spelling but they aren't helping me either...computers aren't as smart as they think they are)
HAPPY HAPPY TUESDAY BLESSINGS ;-)

Great blog! Ferris wheel is so cute. Are you planning on using the bed frame inside? If so, you could just clean it up, spray with a clear varnish...or not, and use it as a trellis outside! Can you see a flowering vine all over it?
