John Wayne

I wonder what John Wayne would say to Americas leaders if he were alive. I think he would be kicking up some dust. I think it might be a different world. I wish the men in the white hats, that had integrity, would ride in and save the day. We need a good cowboy, a good American, to lead, to hold accountability high, someone who knows how to be a man and take care of business. To do the right thing for the good of the people in this country and our democracy. A leader with America in his blood, in his DNA, in his heart. I can dream all I want for a good few men, when the reality is,,,,, it is up to each of "us"...wishing and waiting for someone else to do it won't get the job done. It's going to take True Grit....got any???

Sorry, but I must respectfully disagree. There are many good men, PEOPLE, in office now who meet those requirements (on both sides of the political aisle). However, with our current party structure, not to mention talk show hosts who stir up lies and trouble, we citizens have a slim chance of knowing the real truths. And who was John Wayne, anyway? A bad actor who had an image painted (probably by his agents) of being a "good ol' American". News Flash! There are millions of us out there - some waving flags, some not. Most of us love our country very much, but don't know where to start to make a real difference. I don't have the answers, but I think it's something closer to "Roll up your sleeves and dig in" rather than "celebrate an actor". As I said, no disrespect meant at all; this is just my opinion. Love your blog. Cathy

We *are* the white hats, hun. It's our country, we're here, and it falls to us.

"Those who have long enjoyed such privileges as we enjoy, forget in time that men have died to win them."
- Franklin D. Roosevelt

And the good news is that we absolutely can and will win. That it's doubtful that there will be blood spilled. That we have alternative media and are now seeing more and more people take advantage of it. Take heart :)

Knowledge is power, and I think finally the People are consciously looking for it. I guess late is better than never, right?

There are good people on both sides, bad people too.

And for the record, I *heart* John Wayne ;} There's a particular news guy on FOX - somebody Carlson, maybe? - that looks just like an old caricature of Bing Crosby. It took me forever to figure out who he reminded me of lol.

I hear what you're saying, Marcie! Thank God we do have good men, like those on Fox news, that are getting the true facts out, which would otherwise continue to be hidden. Fox has uncovered corruption in Congress. The "mainstream" media, nor Congress itself has even once denied it! Yes, there are still some good men in Congress that are trying desperately to save the day, but they are outnumbered. Our job, as American citizens, is to put on our white hats and voice our opinion to the members of Congress that hide the truth, that continue to deceive, and enjoy robbing this country's hard working people. Giving is a choice, just as working is a choice. Some choose to not work and take, others choose to work and give...that is the American way!

Go John! Go Founding Fathers! Go Fox News! Go AMERICA!!!
