Meet Oregon's Coleen Sohn of Coleen's Reflections, aka *Queenie*

Thank you all for your comments on my first post. What a treat! I will visit your blogs today,,I can't wait! The other goal is to do my profile,,,but first I have to go look at houses with my Southern Gentleman,,,SG for short. Oh,,, sigh,,, to be a superwoman. Now I want to share something...

There is a very special group of women in Oregon that I would like to tell you about.

Before I moved across country to Alabama 18months ago, we would get together about once a month. No easy task, as we were all very busy, and we had to find a restaurant that would let us be in a corner for 3 hours or so.

All artists in our own way, we supported each other regarding our work and personal lives. "Always" there for each other. Even now, with more distance between us, and the tools of technology, we are still close. I was able to visit Oregon last May and share hugs, food, and, shopping of course! The beach and the casino too,,but that is another story...her name is Joan.

At this time, and alphabetically, I will choose *Queenie*. Her real name is "Coleen Sohn", her business is, "Coleen's Reflections". The mosaic above is an example of her creations. You can see her amazing work here .And if that didn't work, try this, http://www.flickr.com/photos/weefae/3183354900/ Queenie creates the most wonderful faerie magic and altered art. She has inspired and encouraged me to play with paper, and try new things, be optimistic, and dream. Queenie,, "Thank You" for being there during the good, the bad, and the ugly, and still loving me anyway. I miss you, even though we talk each day.

I named her Fairy Queen when I needed a walkie-talkie handle at the Seattle Gift Show, as we would certainly loose each other. That was before cell phones. And *Queenie* stuck.

Have a wonderful Saturday!
Marcie
