Victoria Bliss

Victoria Bliss arrived yesterday. This is my favorite page and article, by Susan J. Gordon. The article is titled "Giving Thanks"
Susan talks of six generations of her family coming to this great country.
On another page, Susan shows her Grandmother in her wedding dress,,,what a beauty!

The rest of the magazine is Christmas oriented, and quite wonderful.
I am just not quite ready for Christmas at this point.
That is the nice thing about favorite magazines...you can pick them up later and get inspiration all over again.
Blessings in your day!

I was a charter subscriber to the "old" Victoria magazine and saved tons of issues for a long time. Nice to know they're back! Love their photography. Blessings & Hugs, Terri xoxo

I will be out today and run by the bookstore for my own copy of VB.
I see you have been as busy as a bee or would that be pack rat. Charming new house awaiting your special touch to make it a home. Cute little picture of the little mice working together, you be careful now.
Been awhile between visits so I traveled all the way down the page...love the John Wayne piece. Yes, I have to do my part but I long for a 'good ol boy' to save the day.
Weekend Blessings Sweetie ;-)

I was so touched by your comments concerning the savvycityfarm SACS© ...

this is my first visit here, I think ... you know how it goes..we get in so deep with blogs and comments that one can't remember how we got to where we are reading.

I think I still have the VERY first issue of Victoria ... I remember what my heart felt when I saw it YEARS ago on the newstand.

anywho ... would you please email me if you have interest in the pillows ... they are very reasonably priced. I most likely will not make tiny ones . i want the look to resemble grain sacs and they are big.
But thanks for such sweet commen ts and suggestions.

I'm glad we met!

Hello Marcie, and thanks for reading my blog! I don't know how such wonderful people even find it. :)

I was introduced to Victoria magazine by my mother in law. Of course I love anything "Victoria." Btw, I love your banner, too. Old photos make me happy.

Hello
Thank you for stopping by, it is so nice to meet you. I have loved Victoria for such a long time and was so sad when the quit publishing it but I do have all my old ones and still enjoy looking at them, the new one isn't quite up to par but I do subscribe to it. That picture is so great, everything in it is fabulous from the wonderful little watercolor to the purses--that velvet bag is
2die4.
Wishing you a great week
Blessings

Hello Marcie,
I've come across your bog by a lik at Mary's Tea Cottage.
How lovely. Love the vintage charm it exhudes. You got me very curious about the Victoria magazine you mention. Though we get very many US,UK and French home decor magazines we do not ge this one. By reading your other comments I guess it is a must-have!!!
Though my blog is nothing close to the charm and style of yours, I'd be delighted if you'd visit my blog at www.ritashabbychicrose.blogspot.com
and... do not forget to leave a line to let me know you were there. Just like every blogger, I LOVE reading comments (especially nice ones LOL).

Hi Marcie!
It was great to hear from you. Congrats on your new home. I hate packing... but I love UN-packing!!!

I know what you mean about not being ready for Christmas yet. I keep a few of my favorite Christmas issues stashed all year and bring them out sometime around mid November to start getting inspired.

I hope you are having a wonderful week!

Hi Marcie! Thanks for stopping by my little corner of cyberspace. I wish the beautiful white house was mine, but MY reality is just an old farmhouse that is in constant need of repair. Oh well...Hope to talk with you again soon. Hugs~Chris

Hi Marcie,

I used to subscribe to Victoria, but since they've returned, I borrow the magazine from my sister when she's finished looking at it. She mentioned the article, and I'm anxious to read it...I'm glad to know there is a lot of Christmas decorating in it, as it will probably be close before my sister gives it to me!

God bless,
Mary

The old family photos, and that little coin purse, awesome.

Thanks for the visit. I alwyas enjoy seeing you have come by.

I did find a few little things at the barn sale, but it was not what i had hoped for.
Still fun, and my fella survived, smiling.

It's one of my favorite magazines too and I missed it so when they stopped printing. Am so glad it's back. Delightful to curl up with a cup of tea and enjoy all of the lovely, lovely photos and sentiments contained in the stories. Last year's artist-in-residence, Sharyn Sowell, the extraordinary paper cutting artist is a dear friend! How nice to see such talent featured!
I love the way the magazine promotes women entrepreneurs! Am so sorry to see Mary Engelbreit's magazine no longer being published, as she too is a great promoter of women artists!
Ah...but there are the SOMERSET publications!!! Yes!!
