The Met, A Fashion Exibition 1890-1940's

Butterfly gown....gasp!


 When you get to http://www.metmuseum.org/  The exibition is called American Women Fashioning a Nationas Identity. Also"their" zoom feature gets "really" close,
much better than this.

I have shown late 1800's today as their my favorite.








This wool sweater is from 1895! It works today!

I just thought I'd share a place to get lost this morning.

  7. I watched the movie "YOUNG VICTORIA" last night...and some of the gowns in the movie were so much like these...oh my goodnes what beauty and elegance....beyond description.

  11. I missed all this?!! Where have I been!! Marcie, fabulous clothes! Gosh, I think most of them could work today! Totally agree about the sweater! It's a work of art. I won't even blather on about those shoes...oh my! More works of art! And your next post with the sweet autograph book...I see projects in your future!
