Just thinking....

This is a gate to a Graveyard in Biloxi,,,The "B" is obviously a B,,,what letter do you think the second photo is??? (a G or C maybe) I'm thinking Biloxi Graveyard, Or,,,Cemetery,,,there was no name anywhere.

A tiny broken flip flop that had washed up on the beach in FL. I miss opportunities to photograph things,,,better,,, I went back to find it, but it was gone. The shells were stuck on it, so it had been in the ocean for a while.

60 mile Blessing

On the 60 mile drive to my root canal, I was nervous, but there we were,, 6am,, on the road. I was finally confronting a much needed procedure, one that I had canceled more than once...for "better times". I don't really hate going to the dentist as a rule, but I admit I "was" nervous,,,then we saw a rainbow,,and I decided it was a good sign. We got there too early and drove along a large lake. While looking at the beautiful lake houses, we rounded a corner and saw this waterfall. Another good sign. I decided I would focus on this image while I was in the chair, a visual meditation if you will. I also added Angels, a bubble of white light of God's love, and later thanked him for the one who invented Novocaine. It helped that the new dentist was a cutiepatootee, with small hands, and hummed some song softly while he worked....and said "Perfect" allot. On the 60 mile return trip, I thought about how I loose control of my mind, and what better words could they come up with than Root Canal, as it can conjure some unpleasant images. But its over, not a big deal at all,,,,and I Choose to remember the blessings in the 60 miles.

I finished my first big Fabric Collage

This is the fabric collage I finally finished in the KC Willis class. It has been a "very rewarding" experience, and I will do more. The next one will be smaller, this one is 16"x20". I started with a different plan,,, a different theme,,, and I love it when a project takes on a life of its own choosing. Taking the class with KC was like learning from a sister or close gentle friend. I highly recommend her class. The KC Willis collage camp is on my sidebar and her website is http://www.lipstickranch.com/ She also has a wonderful blog.

Thank You KC, next time I am in your neck of the woods, I hope to meet you and give you a big long southern hug.

First Time on the Gulf Coast

This was my first time on the Gulf Coast. We went from Panama City Beach to Biloxi. The first thing that made me gasp was the color of the water. I had hoped the photos turned out better, but the color is there,,, you have to see it in person to really know how amazing it is.
Flowers everywhere.

Typical Florida beach rentals in every color imaginable.

A beautiful Hotel...there are tons of huge hotels.

The sun starting to come up at 6am on the beach in front of our hotel.

Lovely hanging moss on the trees.
A fun sign.

In Biloxi,,,we did a little gambling.

Biloxi still shows allot of damage from Katrina. Very sad, but, rebuilding is happening everywhere....like this building.

It was a fun trip, and the people were so nice everywhere. I got my beach fix! I am also glad to be home, and back to this machine, and my studio.
I want to say a special "HELLO" to Penny and Bob today.
